Gavin founded the Educationwise Academy and led it as Chief Executive through its first full Ofsted inspection, which rated the provider Outstanding. In 2025 he stepped into a new role as Founder, Director and Strategic Lead for Growth, handing day-to-day leadership to Judith Allen as Managing Director while staying with the business he built. In his own words at the time: "I am excited to engage and work with you all on taking Educationwise to the next level."
The academy delivers apprenticeships and qualifications across sport and coaching, teaching and learning support, and business, leadership and sales -- from Community Activator Coach and Personal Trainer through Teaching Assistant and Learning & Skills Teacher to Business Administrator, Recruiter and Sales Executive. Its own framing of the standard Gavin set is direct: "an Outstanding education and skills provider".
He has also written publicly about realising he is neurodivergent, on the academy's own blog -- an unusually candid thing for a founder to publish under their own name, and a subject that sits close to how a training provider thinks about the people it teaches.
